Joanna Taylor – Pianist and Accompanist
About Me
I studied Piano Performance at Trinity College of Music with Joseph Weingarten, and later Music Therapy at the Guildhall School of Music. I hold diplomas in Piano Performance, Piano Teaching, and Music Therapy.
I have taught piano in both the UK and USA and more recently as a peripatetic piano teacher visiting schools in the Wiltshire area.
I currently work from home and am available as a piano teacher and accompanist. I am a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM) and hold a full DBS check.
Piano Teaching
I enjoy teaching students from age 4 to adult. I use the Piano Safari approach in the early stages and later teach classical music alongside popular and jazz styles.
I teach all grades. Students may take face-to-face exams at local centres, or submit high-quality video recordings for assessment. Some students also take part in music festivals.
I arrange occasional informal concerts at my home, providing a relaxed and supportive performance environment.
Piano Accompaniment and Performance
- Accompaniment for instrumentalists and singers taking grade exams
- Music for celebrations, including weddings
- Performances at local charity events
